Mr. McKean has over 30 years of experience in both the public and private financial sectors. Highlights of his public finance career include six years of service as Chief Deputy State Treasurer of the State of California and five years as Chairman of the Local Agency Investment Advisory Board. While with the California State Treasurerĺ─˘s Office, he supervised the sale of $9 billion worth of general obligation and revenue bonds. Mr. McKean represented the State of California on 21 boards and commissions concentrating on public debt, including the California Educational Facilities Authority, Housing Finance Agency, Pollution Control Financing Authority, Housing Bond Credit Committee and Veteranĺ─˘s Finance Committee.

During Mr. McKeanĺ─˘s private finance tenure, he served as a managing director for Shearson/American Express and General Partner at both L.F. Rothschild and Lazard Freres & Co. Subsequent to Lazard Freres, Mr. McKean was president of Capital Influx for four years before joining Union Labor Life Insurance Company (ULLICO) as Chief Investment Officer, where he served for over four years managing pension fund assets totaling over $5 billion, including $2 billion of ĺ─˙J for Jobsĺ─¨ construction loans committed exclusively to union building projects. Mr. McKean also served as president of Trust Fund Advisors, ULLICOĺ─˘s Taft-Hartley Capital Markets division.

Throughout his life, Mr. McKean has been committed to giving back to his community and has actively participated in civic affairs, including serving on the Loyola Marymount University Endowment Fund Investment Committee, board member and past board chair of Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission, and the Watts/Willowbrook Boys and Girls Club.

Mr. McKean has a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. He is a member of the California State Bar and a Series 65-certified Uniform Investment Advisor. During the course of his finance career, Mr. McKean maintained active status on licenses pertinent to his scope of work including: Series 63, Uniform Securities Agent; Series 53, Municipal Securities Principal; Series 24, General National Association of Securities Dealers Principal; Series 8, General Securities Sales Supervisor; and Series 7, General Securities Registered Representative.
