Bernie founded McGinn Investment Management, Inc. in 1991. He has been in the investment management business since 1982, first with Merrill Lynch and later Kidder Peabody.
Bernie has served on the adjunct faculty at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University where he taught graduate level courses on financial theory and applied portfolio management. In addition to Georgetown, Bernie served as a visiting Professor of Finance at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland where he taught graduate level portfolio construction theory.
Bernie serves on the Board of Directors of the Campagna Center, an Alexandria, VA based non-profit organization that serves the local community by offering programs that foster a dedication to learning among children, youth, and adults. Bernie previously served on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Community College System.
